''Octopus Kool Aid'' is the twenty-second studio album by Omar Rodríguez-López as a solo artist. It is his first album to feature Teresa Suárez (aka Teri Gender Bender) of Le Butcherettes, performing all vocals. "Worlds Get In The Way", "18", and "Waves" were all performed live by Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group in Japan on May 12, 2012, a few months before the record was finally released. The liner notes also suggest the record was originally planned for June release.
